When you work with TORCHx you have the option to host our website on a domain your already own, or we can buy a new domain for you.  If you prefer we buy the domain, our team will take care of it during the site build process.

If you want to setup your TORCHx website on a domain you already have, our team's going to need your help.  We'll need you to provide us with the login information for the site you purchased the domain from (this company is called your "registrar").  Typically this is someplace like Web.com, GoDaddy.com, Register.com, 1and1.com, etc.  All we need to put the site on your domain is the username and password to the registrar...our team will handle the rest.

Don't know who the registrar is?  We'll point you in the right direction!  If your site was created by an IT guy or other 3rd party, they should be able to provide the info.  Otherwise, follow the instructions below.

To find your registrar:

  1. Go to the following website:  https://www.internic.net/whois.html.
  2. Type your domain name in to the search box, excluding the "www".
  3. Click the "Domain" bubble and hit "Submit".
  4. You'll see a screen like the one below.  Look for the registrar name field which will identify the company or website.  In this example, the registrar is Register.com.
  5. If you remember the username and password for that site, have it ready for our team during your Information Collection Call.  If not, give the registrar a call and see if they can help you get access.
